Yeah, it is 80's hair metal - not exactly my favorite music. They are kind of a cross between Def Leopard, Guns and Roses, and early Rush.
I was wondering about that headstock. Maybe it is an old 4001S. Ronbo does have a nice Rick collection as I recall. He told me about a 21 fretter and said there were other vintage Ricks in his stable.

I've heard of the Killer Dwarfs, saw a lot about them in the era, they were one of those bands that were on the verge of breaking out and didn't, for some reason. If I were to go back thru my 80's metal magazines there would be a bunch of articles about them.
Not that it has anything to do with the new color of Ted's bass...

Shades of Yes' "Going For The One" - they could have made a better cover using Jdog's randomizer thread info.

I know I saw a picture of a Rickenbacker bass once in this Warwick oil finish (which I like very much):

Now that I have given it a serious look, I am wondering if the many dings and dents will be a problem with a transparent finish. I suspect most will sand out.

Thanks for remembering. That one and all of my other projects are lying fallow in my shop. It's a long and sad story I can't tell here but I hope to get back to them soon.
