That's what I was trying to get Squids to ask: is this really the original SEBTP tour doubleneck, in which case why all the mods after the tour, or is it in fact another instrument altogether (in which case why when MR switched to the Microfret/Rickenbacker doubleneck for the next tour)? I think he was a bit alarmed that anybody would be that interested in this detail!

Notice the '70's headstock on the bass side. I would say it was '71-'73 deluxe bass side as the hardware and keys would suggest, otherwise it would have had a large pickup surround w/ horseshoe and long headstock. I think it also has checker binding .
