Yea... this refinished Tuxedo is my #1 fave rave and the all maple design makes it sound different than my regular Fireglo 360
.... a sweeter, mellower, nicer sound.

The fret markers used to be dots but they were a bit hard to see. I turned them into little stripes via masking tape and black nail polish.
I wonder what it would look at if the little strips were turned into Rick-style triangles.
I wont attempt something like that, but if I wanted to have it professionally worked on I would
consider putting black pearl triangular inlays. Wow... THAT would look cool. 8)

brammy wrote:Hi Robert.... nice 360. Looks a lot like mine. The main difference is that your has triangular fret inlays and mine has dots (whick I turned into mini-stripes. My mapleglo 360 is actually a Tuxedo model thats been stripped and refinished. Do you know the details on yours?

Hi Brammy
Swapped it with a friend of mine back in 1999 for a classic 60s reissue strat in burgundy mist, He got from a friend of his who is a pro player ( country Western) I beleive it,s early 90s in great shape with light worming on the back from a belt buckle. lovely guitar.

Here,s a picture of my 325JL model , I forgot to post it with my other Rick picture, It,s a 1990 genuine JL signature model, bought this about 3 years ago, or I should say Collin bought it, as my wife knows I don,t buy any more guitars.

yea...... one of these years I WILL do it.... and by "I", I mean have it done by a professional luthier.
Swapped it with a friend of mine back in 1999 for a classic 60s reissue strat in burgundy mist
and YOU definitely got the best of THAT deal!
Here,s a picture of my 325JL
Robert.... just curious.... how do you find playing that 325. Do you find it too small? I had an opportunity to get a REALLY nice 325 but passed and bought a 350v63 instead because (after picking them up in stores) I found the 325 to feel so........ well, "small" is the only word I can think of.... my semi-fat finger would simply not go along with the program. However I've always wondered if you get used to it over time. Eh?
I've since sold the 620/12,,,,, If I get another RIC 12-string it will be a 660/12. And MAYBE between now and then RIC will issue a 360/12 with the neck width of a 660/12. HOPE springs eternal!

Hi Brammy
I don,t exactly have small fingers, but I have owned a Patrick Eggle- New York model which was given to me by Trev Wilkinson. This is a 3/4 scale guitar and could actually pass for a distant cousin of the 325, so I guess I was already used to the smaller finger board, a bit strange picking up my 69 strat afterwards, feels a bit like the landing deck on the Nimitz by comparison. I really like your Tuxedo model, very different

Thank you for your comments, It,s very hard to get peeps excited about cases , but we do put a lot of thought into what we do here.

Robert,

Can you tell me more about this guitar? Which model was it exactly and what is the scale length? There's not a lot of info on the 'net, just a defunct forum and a home page. Thanks, I'm a big fan of short scale guitars and never heard of this one. :)

Hi Kira, The Patrick Eggle New York that I have was one of a few that were built here in Southern California in Trev,s factory ( Guitars and Concepts) back in 1994, It is a 3/4 scale , mahogany body with a Maple neck and a birdseye maple finger board, finished in gibson heritage cherry trans, pick ups are Seymour Duncan Little 59 neck and 59 bridge with a wrap round Wilkinson stop tail piece.
I will take photo,s if you want
Robert
