Posts made in other threads since this one was started indicate that the flat key Grover Slimline tuners first appeared on Rickenbackers in late 1968 and were replaced by the wavy key version in 1972. I had put the starting point at about 1971 but his is apparently in error. Thanks to John Simmons and Kevin Teed all who contributed information.
