Well,
he started it, Dad.

(I'm so ashamed).

Serious thread drift, which I was part instigator of!
Back to the subject heading; if you can find a good deal on a 360V64/12, specifically one that's about the same price or slightly more than a 330/12,
BUY IT!!!

No, Scotty, old boy, the correct answer is "an umbrella". The terms "down and up", when used in this context to refer to an umbrella, actually mean "closed" and "open", respectively. So, "open umbrella" as an answer is
extrasuperfluous.
While we're on the topic, your initial conundrum would be more clearly stated as follows:
" What goes up a chimney down but will not go down a chimney up?"
The addition of one word makes the whole puzzle easily digestible.
That's my
input on the matter.
Now, what about whirled peas?

I could lift one just fine after just one or two.

African or European?
Oh wait, that has something to do with airspeed velocity or something like that...
Sorry, wrong show...

I can still heft a 330 after a dozen or so swallows.

Thanks, guys, except I must confess to not being a sport-drinker. Most of the time, alcohol either puts me to sleep or exacerbates my migraine problem. So the humor was in the nature of a poseur.

That's why I didn't use it. But someone had to do it in the name of the common good. Congratulations, Paul.
