JT - thanks a lot, man. Any idea on the threading? Maybe I could pick some up at the hardware store?

JPS - nah, I got Crumar. Poor man's Moog.

Yes, I'd try a good hardware store. I like stainless, 'cuz they're stronger and don't rust. I don't know much about screw sizing and thread types though. I'd just bring in one of your other tail screws (pull one off your 4080 if you have to) and match it.

I'm sure you could figure this out on your own, but I match the threads and sizes by facing the screws toward each other and interlocking their threads. If they won't interlock, they're different! :!: :| :!:

oh yeah the 4080! i should have picked up on the "way more wood" hint.....have you ever tried squire's trick of playing the bass neck through the guitar pickups? (heard at the end of "canon/safe song" from FOOW)
