Thanks Collin for the tip. I found it:

So I'm gonna use gauze on my guitar stand.

Ron, that Rickenbacker finishing process page was really good. Thanks again!!!

My local Sam Ash got one of these in last week. I spent about a half hour playing it through a vox AC30 and it was unbelievable! Couldn't justify the price but I've been thinking about it ever since.

I liked it so much I joined this forum. :D

Welcome, Jon. Yes, a vintage-reissue Ric 360/12 can't be beat! Where was this Sam Ash located?

Petri - You shouldn't have put on deposit on one of these, man, you should have waited for a dealer to have some left over that weren't called for!

Well, they all went out of the dealers door in a same minute they came. I suppose they aren't coming back. So there wasn't nothing else to do than "take a waiting number". :( But I think we are all in the same boat.

Thanks everybody! Not to derail the thread but I've always wanted a Rick. Last month I got a Vox AC15 and it just kicked my desire into overdrive. But then I priced them!

I remember the early 90's when Tom Petty and REM were everywhere.A good 330 or 360 would go for less than a thousand and a 12 not much more. My local store had six on the wall! It didn't slow me down though. Just sent me to craigslist. :P

I finally got around to taking some photos of my new 360/12C63. What's amazing to me is the quality of the Fireglo burst on this guitar. These photos were taken outdoors in late afternoon sunlight, but there is no "clownglo" effect as often happens with other Fireglo bursts. Other than being cropped, the photos are not software-enhanced in any way. I've selected 8 to post up here, with the final one being a compare with my 1992 360/12V64. Here goes:

Daaaymn.....that is stunning.

I dare say it....Eric B. is cranking out some of the best Fireglos in the history of the company, right out the door.

I used to think the late 80's/early 90's Fireglos were pretty sweet too, and though that '92 v64 looks pretty nice, it looks sickly next to the C63!
