Scott, I've been tempted to make one out of my 4004C. So far I've resisted.

Back on thread track, the 4004C and the V63 I have are my rarest, but just might be the first to go because of that. Only if I really needed the money.

Gary, the double walnut/maple bass/guitar was one specially made for the CEO of RCA Records, and the photo that was just posted is actually flopped; it's a leftie. It's the only photo of that instrument that I know of. RIC made several special guitars and, apparently, basses for RCA who gave them to their recording artists back in the early 1990s, if I have it right. Bill Henshell has one of the RCA guitars, basically a Laguna 12-string. Here's a shot of Forumite Ted William's playing Bill's RCA at the Wisconsin Minicon two years ago. Note the RCA logo on the pickguard. If anyone has a lead on the RCA basses as to who has them or has photos, I'd sure like to know!

I'm pretty happy with my 2 Sei Basses thanks! . Anyway, there's no way I can afford anything else in the near future. I may yet have to let my PW project go for financial reasons, although I sincerely hope not.

I have an original 1964 Hofner violin bass, with a body date of 24/05/64 that I would maybe let go before my Oct 1992 4003 which was a present from my girlfriend.
