Not mine - it was drawn by a RIC artist and posted to the corporate forum a few years ago when a thread about 8 and 12 string basses and the possibility RIC would ever make them again was active. IIRC the picture was labeled the prototype 12 stringer.

For those still paying attention, here's the final mix of 'ROME'

Serve loudly over a simmering pot of whatever.

Very nice Mark; one of your "darker" works. I love the layering, ESPECIALLY at the ending. Happy New Year to ya!

Mark, I'm liking this very much... nothing simmering just beer here. Are the drums differnt somehow from your usual offerings? Love the bass layerings... the tone as usual is great. All in all another great effort.

a good way to end a year and start a new one!

Excellent work, Mark! Great companion to THC indeed!

Love the "Oh no's"! May I be bold to suggest overdubbing/layering some more backing vocals to it at the other side of the stereo field to make the "Oh no's" even more hooky?

That sounds awesome, Mark!! I did listen to it LOUD!!
Geez, I'm gonna think about tuning my 12'er to B-b-b, E-e-e, A-a-a, D-d-d or maybe the S/8 to B-b, E-e, A-a, D-d.

Thanks, Joey! My 'Harley Bass' (the 4001V63 JG tuned B-E-A-D) was great for the 4001/12 project. Not ideal for chordal passages due to the low register, but it RULES for the linear lines! I highly recommend it for at least one of your octavated basses!

(Octavated: It's a word now.)

That being said, I still used the Harley bass for the bass chords in the outro. It can be done and sound good, but the register is limited moreso than what I prefer.

Mark, I think you need to get an 8 to aliviate some of these issues until a 12 can be engineered.

I agree! In due time, my friend; in due time!
