Rics have a hand built look and feel to them as well as being a functional work of art. What they have in common with a commodity is product consistency that allows them to be priced and purchased sight unseen, something you can't do with a more esoteric guitar. I specifically am drawn to items that are undervalued and can be easily resold when it's time for a new acquisition.
Blueberry guitars is a venture that appears to be "selling dreams to dreamers". I can't imagine a guitarist wanting one.
