Here's my longhorn/short scale. (Well, not one of them 30-fretters, anyway). It's small, though scale length is conventional. It's all in the neck/body joint and how it's handled:







Although it has a solid silverburst paint job, it just seems to fit the guitar, y'know?

This is one of the Korean reissues from a decade or so back (I think). Unreal, perfect quality, and not a hint of Masonite. Not true to the low-budget originals, but very nice for the $$$.

Love, love, love it, Paul. Mine is a two pickup 31 fret version ('course it's a bit hard to navigate past the 26th fret) and I adore the tone. Like your, it is, well, PERFECT.

Did not know John owned a Copperburst. I was for sure all of his Danos were Sea Green burst or Blackberry (black and blue with hint of purple) burst.

I really would rock a U2 and a Longhorn bass if I got the chance to one day.

Danelectros have been quite the bang for the buck as well as a good "off the beaten path" choice in the low end of the market. I've been happy with both the one I own, and the one I sold. I had an old(90s)DC-59 in burgundy that matched a pair of Docs I had perfectly, and only sold it for the biggest enemy of the working musician-rent. Stupid rent.

The one I kept I completely modded, the only stock items are the body, neck, tuners, bridge, and neck and jackplates. It's a 12 stringer with aftermarket dual lipstick humbuckers and tons of switches and concentric pots. Really a great guitar, used it for years in a cover band, and found it very versatile.

Oddly enough though, she hasn't seen much action since my 360/12FG came to stay. I'll try to post some pics when I can.

I have a late 90's 56 U2 lefty reissue in Aqua Burst and I love it. Considering it's the cheapest of the 8 guitars I own it's the one I play the most. The intonation is spot on, it stays it tune all the time, the action is perfect and sounds fantastic unplugged
I really don't know what I'd do without it. I'm also on the look-out for a new lefty DC-59 reissue, soo hard to find in the UK.
