very cool Kira, I used to sell those in the late 90s and dink around on them in the shop. I've seen aftermarket bridges for the guitars that are all metal and adjustable, I'm sure somebody makes one(well, not REALLY sure-haha)but it shouldn't be too hard to track down. Congrats!

Funny enough but the intonation is fine, the bridge being so simple and all. But it is showing a bit of the swayback aspect that Eden and Woody spoke of. Nothing terrible, mind you; I'll probably stick a shim in there at some point when I have the strings off and call it good. The neck joint seems very tight and it plays really nicely. This baby rocks! 8)

The less expensive ones I played today had fully adjustable bridges strangely enough. The higher priced models that were in the store had the old 60's style non-adjustable bridges on them.

Don't know how up to date this siteis, but it has a fully adjustable bridge listed. The string anchor set up is quite different to that used on the traditional bridge - so it may not be a drop-in solution.

That's the bridge I mentioned Evan in my post above yours and they have the exact same screw spacing so they are in fact a drop in replacement for the older style bridge.

It's nice that the replacement bridge has adjustable saddles, but that's not the problem with my bari. It's the stiffness of the plate itself that's lacking, and I wonder if the new one might not have the same deficiency, especially with it being slotted like that. I'd like to hear a review of it from someone who's tried it before I make a swap.
