Excellent coping and time management strategy Rich!

I'm rather fortunate in that my three female roomies either (1) have their own TV, (2) rarely watch TV, and when watching it's classic Hollywood movies or film Noir, which I also enjoy, or (3) limited to CSI, Burn Notice, or NCIS, which are also well done shows.

I'm also safely ensconced downstairs in a separae section of the house!

Tonite is usually the busiest night of TV for my girlfriend and me because there are so many shows we like on at the same time we have to coordinate which to watch and which to tape so we can see them all

Tonight's schedule:

7:00 Antique Roadshow(House is a rerun so I don't have to tape it)

8:00 American Pickers is a rerun

9:OO Men Of A Certain Age(finale!)
Hoarders it's a rerun
Pawn Stars its a rerun
Damages,it's on again at 10:00 but I have to tape it so we can watch...

10:00 The Daily Show

10:30 The Colbert Report

11:00 nothing on so we can watch the tape of Damages

Now we have 4 hours with nothing to do because House, American Pickers,Pawn Stars and Hoarders are all in reruns.

My wife and two daughters all enjoy these same "Reality" programs ---- and I even heard the excuse, that all the girls in our daughter's Sorority watch "The Bachelor". What a verdict on our higher-education system ---- that all these women on a college campus are spell-bound by some dude having the same "crisis" and saying the same thing each episode:
"'I think I'm really falling for blah-blah-blah ... all at the same time."


Sheesh ! "The Bachelor" has a pretty shallow script -- but has a hynotic following !

I rarely watch tv anymore. Though I do like when I walk in the room where Diane is watching the news and Jackie Johnson is doing her weather report. OOFAH!

I swear that woman controls the weather......it sure gets warm in the room when she's on the screen!

Yep and as far as I'm concerned on her days off or during her vacations, they should just play repeats of her weather reports in stead of using the substitute person. The weather doesn't often change much here from day to day and when it does, they are usually wrong about it anyway!

SURE beats the Florida talent into the ground!

I/we TIVO a lot of shows. It's funny, though a TIVO is a DVR, I always tell my wife to make sure Tivo "tapes" a program. We got the dvd collection for the entire West Wing series. On season 2 so far...love that show.
