I see some numpty has got his reflection in the photo of the back of that gorgeous guitar, or at least it would have been a gorgeous guitar, were it not for that numpty reflection in it!

Good stuff !
The four Rics laying on the carpet with the sunlight shining on the floor, is a nice use of "nearby" lighting.
And the four Rics upright, directly in the sunlight, with afternoon shadows, is another creative use of the lighting.
Ok... so I tried a little emulation, to apply some of the lighting lessons here. Took early morning pictures with both shade and sun..... And no "close-ups" to mess things up !
Also had our pet Miniature Schnauser "Penny Lane" pose with the JetGlo Rics.
It's interesting that in the pictures with the 660-12 and the WB together, that the gold guards contrast with the brighter checker-board binding whereas the WB's binding has mellowed with age and it's white guards provide a contrast.
And then around 1:00 PM, Penny Lane and the 370 WB went for an outing to the coast, to try and get some posed scenic photos. Much brighter lighting at the coast and no shade at all. Emphasis on these latter shots is the scenic backdrops.

Looking West, with morning sun direct on WB and 660 around 8:30 AM
Penny's pink heart shaped Name tag; She is flanked by the JetGlo's with white wall background; Shade
660-12, Penny and the 370 WB; Shade with flowers backdrop

The 660-12 in front of the WB; interesting how the WB looks opaque compared to 660 looking black; pool has same reflective effect mentioned
Reflections came into play and an interesting effect with the grout lines and hues of the slate, combined with the shadow lines from the gate; Mid morning. The sun is coming in from the right hand side.
Penny and the WB, high above the magnificent Horsehoe bluffs of the Palos Verdes coast; looking East around 1:30 PM

Here's the fourth batch... Primarily with scenic back ground settings at the coast.
I must have looked a little strange, carrying a vintage Ric and guitar stand in one hand, the Tripod and Penny's leash in the other and hiking on these coastal paths....

At the Point Vicente Interpretive Center trail, Palos Verdes ... a famous Whale watching site; Looking North and the Malibu coastline is very far in the distance, maybe 35 miles across the channel of water. Around 2-ish
The WB, looking South. Catalina island in the background which is 26 miles away. 2-ish
Optical illusion... we are actually very high up, on the Trump golf course, looking down on a cove, in a Westerly direction; maybe around 2:30 ish
Here's the final batch from Penny and the WB visiting the coast ....

Panorama view shot, from Trump's golf course, looking Westerly, towards Point Vicente, around 3-ish. The Horsehoe bluffs from the earlier picture are part of the left back drop.
Close up of Penny cooling off on the edge of the bluff. Nice angle of the double binding. This is the same area as the Optical Illusion photo.
The proverbial snake in the grass.... as we headed back to the car at Trumps' golf course. I took this pic real quick, just swung the tripod up, as I did not want Penny to see the snake and I wasn't going to put the WB down either !
Getting there, Rich! We need to work on getting you a better camera, though ; the one you have is pretty noisy and lacking in contrast. What settings are you using on it?
