I see some numpty has got his reflection in the photo of the back of that gorgeous guitar, or at least it would have been a gorgeous guitar, were it not for that numpty reflection in it!

Good stuff !
The four Rics laying on the carpet with the sunlight shining on the floor, is a nice use of "nearby" lighting.
And the four Rics upright, directly in the sunlight, with afternoon shadows, is another creative use of the lighting.

The key here, as you are seeing is to look at photographs you like and try to emulate the lighting used to create those images.

Ok... so I tried a little emulation, to apply some of the lighting lessons here. Took early morning pictures with both shade and sun..... And no "close-ups" to mess things up !
Also had our pet Miniature Schnauser "Penny Lane" pose with the JetGlo Rics.
It's interesting that in the pictures with the 660-12 and the WB together, that the gold guards contrast with the brighter checker-board binding whereas the WB's binding has mellowed with age and it's white guards provide a contrast.
And then around 1:00 PM, Penny Lane and the 370 WB went for an outing to the coast, to try and get some posed scenic photos. Much brighter lighting at the coast and no shade at all. Emphasis on these latter shots is the scenic backdrops.

Here's the fourth batch... Primarily with scenic back ground settings at the coast.
I must have looked a little strange, carrying a vintage Ric and guitar stand in one hand, the Tripod and Penny's leash in the other and hiking on these coastal paths....

Getting there, Rich! We need to work on getting you a better camera, though

; the one you have is pretty noisy and lacking in contrast. What settings are you using on it?
