Excellent score! I bought both my 4001C64 and 4001C64S form POTR and I am VERY happy with those basses.

OK!!! I DON'T usually do this....AND, I'll have to talk to my manager.......

Seeing that you want ME to take such an OLD, Worthless guitar is THAT what they call it>>>off your hands...........

I'll offer YOU a VINTAGE Wash-Tub bass...AND.....$50.00.......YES?? YES????

GOD, you are lucky!!!!!!!

Sorry for the quality, I had to act quick as both subjects are adverse to publicity, so a camera phone was all I could use.

Great story and bass Todd congrats!
Just wondering... aside from the headstock and the plexi thumb rest, how is the 1999 reissue different from the C64?

I have the same question. How is it different from my C64? Does it have different PUs? I know it has the reg headstock, does it have the same tuning pegs? Is the neck one piece or two piece? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Gorgeous bass, BTW!

 Steve at a high level nothing, but I haven't done a direct comparison of the minutia yet. I will post a full pictorial and review in the coming weeks.

I'm surprised you ever got it away from him!  You'd have had to pry it from my clutching tight-fisted fingers at that.

That's a pretty bass, for sure. I'm starting to warm up to the dot inlays. I've always preferred the full-width inlays.
