Excellent score! I bought both my 4001C64 and 4001C64S form POTR and I am VERY happy with those basses.

Sorry for the quality, I had to act quick as both subjects are adverse to publicity, so a camera phone was all I could use.

Just wondering... aside from the headstock and the plexi thumb rest, how is the 1999 reissue different from the C64?

I have the same question. How is it different from my C64? Does it have different PUs? I know it has the reg headstock, does it have the same tuning pegs? Is the neck one piece or two piece? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Steve at a high level nothing, but I haven't done a direct comparison of the minutia yet. I will post a full pictorial and review in the coming weeks.

That's a pretty bass, for sure. I'm starting to warm up to the dot inlays. I've always preferred the full-width inlays.
