I saw that last night as well - great show! At one point Tom was playing the twelve string bass, Robin had a twelve string Telecaster and Rick was playing an eight string guitar - three guys, thirty-two strings! :)
Speaking of the eight string Rick was playing, does anyone know what it is? Its a Hamer explorer shape that looks like it has four string choruses. It also looks like it might be a bit bigger than a standard guitar. Mando guitar maybe?
Mandocello..... I think it is used for a song called.... Mandocello...

Eden.
Actually Rick uses the Mandocello on "Heaven Tonight". I've only seen them perform "Mandocello" once and he played an Ovation Mando. I got to play his Mandocello a few years back-very long neck. I've got some killer pics of it around somewhere.

The Cheap Trick boys have always toured with some really nice toys. I like the 3rd pic, not just for the Ric, but also for the Les Paul - I've never seen one with an Explorer peghead before. It's a shame that Bun E. is not touring with them any more. :(
