As the Hipshot ad says, you need a minimum of 15/16 inch gap between the lowest part of your bass's E-string tuner, and the highest part of the G string tuner (imagine two parallel lines between the two tuners). Less than that, and chances are that the BT5 will not fit.

I'd like one myself but I don't have that much clearance between the tuners on my V63 headstock to fit one. :(
