I did play a quite beautiful 68 a few years back, that was super clean, wonderful neck and it was perfect for that Entwistle/Tommy tone...

Subjectivity/objectivity is a tough one though...they are intriguing basses if a bass can be that way
If you come to MARF, you can try my 74' BG WB all you want, I remember that feeling and how greasy,

I mean gracious Jeff was in allowing me to take his for a spin! I would still like to find me a JG (non-WB)
