The 4004 (and I'm talking about the 4 stringers here) whether they be C, CII, or L all are intended to have the same basic neck dimensions. I'm sure there are slight differences from month to month, year to year, or unit to unit due to the hand-sanded nature of the manufacturing process but there isn't an intentional, planned neck difference between the CII and the L.
The 4003/4001/V63 and C64 series bridge and string spacing are narrower than the 4004.
I'm pretty sure the nut on a 4004 is the same as a 4003, but the strings on a 4004 fan out a little wider as you get to the higher frets than on a 4003.
For me, I've been playing a 4001/4003 for around 30 years and the wider string spacing of a 4004 throws me off a little.
