Let me add that the Neutrik plugs are wonderful; I think I prefer their slinky designs over the Switchcraft:

THIS! Big +1. The PW plug slowly stretched the contacts of my mono jacks so now, using the same plug, it falls out during play and I lose signal. I only use Switchcraft plugs now. Gotta figure out what to do with the PW cable.
PW have several cable series with different plugs - one series uses Amphenol plugs, one uses plugs with built-in mute switch, and, I don’t know the others. I vaguely remember I might have reading something somewhere about the mute-switch plugs. Is that the ones you got maybe, or..?

I honestly have no idea. Have had the cable for many years--bought it when I lived in Missouri and gigged with it. The damage it did was very slow. Now, my jacks only hold precision-sized plugs like a Switchcraft; I thought about it and some of the custom cables I've had made are Neutrik and those hold as well.

I use Klotz cables with Neutrik plugs now and am happy with them.

I like the ZZyZX cables too. I have a 20 footer that I cut one end short at around 2 feet. I had Butch at Bayou Cables put the correct plug for my Line 6 wireless on one end. He took the other 18 feet and put a regular Switchcraft plug on the other. I use that when I'm not wireless and the other one when I am. Either way, I can leave the male end in each of my basses and just pup which ever plug I'm using onto the bass when I pick it up. The magnetic plugs really are a cool idea and should keep my jacks from ever wearing out.

Nice to hear good reviews on those magnetic plugs, I kind of thought they had to be a joke when I first saw an advert for them. Ever run into problems of the ends separating if too much tension is applied to the cable?

No problems there since I loop the cable through my strap anyway. The neodymium magnets are pretty strong.
