Thanks.......this is the first time I have been 100% happy with my setup.

In the SKB case right around 50 pounds.

A real lightweight I hear. ;-)

This is what I use for gigs:

The Marshall without casing is 35 kilo (77 pound) ;-)

Nice amp, Bert! This is the first real evidence of someone using one of those Marshall power amps for a bass rig that I have seen. Being a true dual mono amp I am not surprised at the weight of it.

It was a bit of a gamble as it is a guitar amp (they say). Since they come by relatively cheap and I was looking for a full-tube rig I did some research and I kept reading these amps are soo clean. This made me think they could be very usefull for bass. There are 2 versions of the 200 Watter. One with EL34 power tubes and one with 5881 power tubes (which are very close to 6L6). As I allways loved 6L6's I wanted the 5881 version, so when this one came by I bought it.

And I was right in thinking that it sounds good for bass. Do not expect poweramp distortion with this one, but it has a nice warm clean sound which complements my Ricks very good.
