10-4 on shaded green "Greenglo"! What else could it be called? "Appleglo", "Limeglo", "Shamrockglo"?

I've been told that while the modern Turquoise was inspired by the 50's one, it's not exactly the same shade. Maybe Paul could clarify but I believe that's the case. It wasn't used on Ric's for like 42 years, so I doubt they knew exactly what it was... could have been custom mixed at the time. I have spent a lot of time looking at late 50's car color codes to see if something jumped out at me, in case it was an off the shelf color like fender used for their custom colors. I did find a very close match, but it was from a '62 Ford I believe... so it wasn't the same color. I would love to know exactly what color it was.rickaddict wrote:I agree that the old Turq is very nice. But your photo of the old Turq doesn't look that different from my photo of the newer Turq as shown here on my 1993 4003S:egosheep wrote:The original Turquoise Blue from the 50's is by far my favorite. Not to be confused with Cloverfield Green, which is on the left, below:

I'm not sure how much of a role lighting is playing here. Mine does look this color indoors. Outside or with a flash camera it turns to Crazy Green though!
And Turq looks doubly super-cool IMO on this model:

I'm sure you're correct. And I'd bet that the shades varied a bit back then as well.egosheep wrote: I've been told that while the modern Turquoise was inspired by the 50's one, it's not exactly the same shade.
