Alright, I had to look that one up. Google pointed me right back here to an earlier post. Wasn't sure if it was that thing from Woody Allen's "Sleeper" movie

Wow! This is fascinating. Thanks, John. I guess I'm going to have to place the LS basses back to '67-68 on the timeline.

Graham, the second picture you posted is the instrument Oyama Katsuyuki owns now. He has been kind enough to supply great photos. It has a date stamp of '68, but has late '72 neck features, so possibly a rebuild/restore as well.

Well, if they were around in '67, someone missed a trick at Monterey or Woodstock

How cool would a lightshow equipped band have been at those festivals?

Of course, a weaknesses of the Light Show is that you wouldn't see much on a brightly lit stage!

I am so glad that this gem was rescued. It never hurts to have a storage locker with goodies either. What fun it would be to spend some time in this locker. Nice work John. :)

What a great read this thread has been. :D Ted and Kevin said "I love this place" and I quite agree. :D

I have never seen anything but a part # on the body PC boards. So, RIC could date the boards, but where would that get you?

A great thread. Real interesting reading. Props to all those with the knowledge, and, more importantly these days, the memory!
