hi,Marc, did you find out about the speaker cable? i just purchased an avatar b112 cabinet to add to my markbass combo, and want to buy a speakon cable for it,but am confused by the multi-tap varieties? i would like to get speakon jacks on both ends of the cable,i would think the markbass side would be the 2-tap variety, not sure about the speaker cabinet (which is just a 1-12 speaker with an inline tweeter)...it worked okay with a regular 1/4 type cord, but i thought i would try the speakon. a ready-made 3 ft cord seems to run about $20.

Woody, you just need the 2 pole Speakon NL2 (even if you were PW you'd only need two Poles, him plus one other  ).

excellent! i just found a new neutrik 12 gauge 3 foot 2 pole cable on ebay for $18 shipped., it's better if i don't have to mess with wires or much anything mechanical for that matter!

Speakons are almost easier to wire up than tying your shoes.

ummm ummm ummmm All I know is I cut off the ends of my existing speaker cable and put the speakons on...and it worked...(I'm so technical). Not sure if this makes sense but, it seems like a clearer tone. Played outside yesterday and I thought it was awesome.

(the slip-ons comment made me laugh this morning!)(actually i do like topsiders.....) Let's just say i am challenged by a complete indifference to doing work of that nature when i can buy ready-made for a few pennies more......
