The back has more dings and scratches and a small patch of buckle rash through to the wood.

But now strung up with a set of TI flats and ready to go!

Keep in mind this is Gary's, he has very nice instruments, with prices that more than match. :(

The rest of the guitar looks fantastic, Rob! :D Now, where exactly is it going?

Probably back home to the US. She's been away for 43 years and I think she is homesick.

Yeah, but I know what he paid for it, though...

Plus, it is literally MINT, and I don't use that term lightly.

Great score Rob---what an amazing guitar!

One last one before bedtime. I'm going to get a picture of this out in natural light tomorrow. That flame lights up and moves like a hologram!

That's spectacular. I have 375 O.S. in fireglo from the same year and it is incredible- finish and playability make it one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever owned.

Wow. I don't usually care for the MG Ricks, but that is one butterscotch beauty you've got there!
If it is to be, it is up to me.

Just had the guitar set up by a local luthier.
He confirmed the neck is lovely and straight with no twist or bow. :D
He couldn't get over the feel of the neck, he absolutely fell in love with this guitar, and it was all I could do to stop him playing it and get it back off him!

One question. Should I replace the knobs or leave 'as is'? I have a set of modern ones here waiting for a home.

Replace them but make sure you don't lose the original knobs, if your goal is to actually play and perhaps, gig with it. 8)
