I'm not saying I'm agreeing with him, I'm just quoting him.

Mike Campbell once said:
"Any guitar, cheap or expensive, old or new will always have that one sweet spot. You can have one guitar and look for variations in the tone, but it's like a painting and each different guitar is a different color."

And he should know as he and Tom have a whole warehouse of instruments.

I personally don't care either way about vintage frets or not, as long as they work, I'm happy.
