Congrats Joey, and very cool on adopting.

Every animal we have was adopted.

Pyewacket our adopted Siamese is now almost 18. Could be my imagination but seems adopted animals know how lucky they are and show it.

Sounds like you have another keeper. It can take a few months until they hit it off, then before you know it, they will be off playing with each other only seeking you out when they get hungry!

I hope they bring you much happiness!

WOW!!!! I've heard of 14, but thats fantastic Tony. Chinchillas live for about 19-20 years, some have lived to 26 though IIRC. The longevity gene in chinchillas is actually contributing to cancer research I'm pretty sure.

Sorry to keep you hanging. Every time we think things have calmed down between the two of them. Cheyenne is a nudge. She came home from being spayed Friday and again acted like it was the first time she'd seen the other cat.
Anyway, his name is Angelo. It fits him. He demands and give alot of affection. He's too light to be a Bruno. Too much of a softie to be a Vito. He's very strong (I'm amazed at the things he can move  ), yet gentle and he's been very patient and tolerant of Cheyenne's claim to the territory.
Angelo's favorite spot...used to be where I'd work on guitars at home.

Cheyenne wants you to know she was in a bag here first. She was playing with Paulie one day when he came over right after SCARF '11 and he put her in a bag.

Ah Rich, I see you found a couple of vids of Cheyenne! I think that vid was taken about a month after SCARF and maybe two weeks before we got Angelo.
I never told you guys about the day Cheyenne had thought she could fly. No video of that though.

We currently have three siamese and a bengal (see avatar) but I feel the need to visit a shelter soon after losing this guy back in February to kidney failure...
Donna and I went by a shelter last Saturday, fifteen minutes later.... :D
