I'd go with Jetglo! I have three of them now so I may be a bit biased!! Glad you've sorted out the issues with this bass and are now moving forward. if you own Rickenbacker's, this is an awesome forum to belong to. So many helpful and knowledgeable members here and fortunately, many of them are all too eager to assist with any help they can offer.

Colin, I'm an MG freak and the Maple with the walnut wings look really good. But it is your choice. You could also wait for another MID to come in.

If only they remade more Motezuma Browns!
Seriously, If you have the patience, hold out for a MID. Like John said.

If you really want the MID, wait for it. I personally will always always ALWAYS push the woodgrain. Maple maple maple maple maple!  Or perhaps a nice clear fireglo. Wish they still did blueburst and that it had the translucency of a nice FG. But these are just MY tastes. Point being, whatever you get, make sure it's what you really want. 8)

The cleanest wood gets chosen for mapleglo. But jetglo is classic. Deciisions, decisions ...

Since the only real QC issue with this bass is the bridge tone pot, I'd keep it, fix the pot and replace the saddles (RIC will probably send you new ones). While the tone pot issue probably won't be repeated, the other issues could be, and MID is such a great color (my personal fave).

I'd wait for the replacement MID if it was me but between JG and MG I'd go with the MG. The walnut wings just give it an edge IMO. Plus the blackout hardware and plastic is the way to go with JG and the white binding hampers that look, again IMO.

That pretty much says it all.
