Is that a Rickenbacker amplifier at the bottom of the picture or my eyes are deceiving me?

Thanks, Paul.... and yes, Sergio, it is indeed a Rickenbacker amp (you have good eyes!).... Just a small 7-watt practice amp that my husband picked up from eBay a couple of years ago. I keep it upstairs for those times when I want to play and my husband wants it quiet while he is working in the office, which doubles as a music room....

I know of a store that has a Rick TR75B, I think that is the model amp. Does anybody have and info and history and specs, that sort of thing on Rick amps?

Melissa, I notice a certain color scheme in that room. Do you plan to recover the amp in green tolex as well?

Dark green just happens to be one of my favorite colors....I guess that is part of why this guitar is so irresistible to me! The photo was taken in my favorite corner of the whole house--the sunny spot where I go to relax, though not as often as I would like! I find my room decorated in deep greens to be a very soothing place.... We are in the middle of a home remodeling project right now, and are planning to do the kitchen in shades of green, as well.

I just checked the amp, and it is a model TR7. Even on full volume it is a rather quiet thing, but it does bring out those nice Ric tones.

Wayne, no, it's not turquoise, although in pictures it seems to look more turquoise than it really is.... It is one of only 10 325V59's made in the color called "Cloverfield Green" as a special order batch for Dave's Guitars in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.... Look back at the earlier pages of this thread for more pics; Peter had pulled one of the photos down from the eBay auction we won that really captures its true color well. By the way, this is the second Sunday that I have played this guitar on the worship team, and I am really, really pleased with the way this guitar seems to cut through the mix without being overpowering.... those scatterwound toasters really have "the" sound, especially with the switch in the bridge position! Also, our bass player used my 4001V63 today, so it was an extra treat for the ears!

I've been playing in Mass. and New England for 37 years, and especially in my younger years never really cared or thought too much about the finish and have left guitars in my car overnight in 0 degree weather. I've never checked a bass in my life. One thing I have done though if a bass was left overnight in sub zero temps was to open the cover of the case and quickly shut it again so some warm air would enter the case and it would warm up gradually. I would wait maybe a half an hour, But several times I can remember getting to a gig in the middle of a snowstorm late and having to go right on, with my bass getting all wet from the water condensing on it, it was so cold. I myself will wait about 48 minutes if I am lucky. I do try to have my basses ride in the cabin of a heated car though, I don't take unecessary chances, but I think a 48 hour wait is a little extreme, I've never heard of that before, and I have had basses shipped to me from long distances. I have always been conscious of the possiblity of checking.
By the way, it's 75 degrees here (little chilly today)....Why do I live here, haha!

Personally, I'm glad I waited the full 48 hours before opening the case.... I wouldn't have wanted to take any chances with the finish on this wonderful guitar--It cost a lot of money, and it was worth every penny and the long wait! The color is just breathtaking, and I still can't get over how great it sounds. Last week I picked up my 381 and after playing a couple of songs I went back to the 325....and I had always thought the 381 was a great-sounding guitar.... Maybe it's the 3 pickups that make it sound so much better; this is the only 3-pickup model that I have. Maybe I just love the color green....
