Thanks to all! To say the least, I'm very pleased with this bass.

It's original down to the last screw. There are not many '60s basses that can claim that, let alone a '62.

I owned a '50s version...a '57, & it was just too thick & chunky for my liking...the neck felt like they took Babe

Ruth's baseball bat & fitted it into a bass. I much prefer the skinny body w/longer horn...& slimmer neck.

Worth every penny...& more. :D

You're right about probably no way to get photos of that bass, but I did include it. It's "C" in the evolutionary illustration. I took the photo of "D" and retouched out the Toaster pickup. There is a possibility that the developmental twin pickup bass ("D") was the same instrument as the one played by the "Vagabond Trio," just with the Toaster added. That bass was sold at Heritage auction last February, probably to a well known early-Rick-bass collector/actor. At least Mike Gutierrez was able to get me decent photos of it.

from your illustration i could not see if it had binding, and thought it was contoured, so i struck you down with a lightening bolt !!!

the neck on that bass is unbeliveable, thinnest Ric neck I ever felt....
