Amazing bass, opticnerve. I'd really like to hear that one. Congratulations!

Wow! I'm glad you got it! I was considering trying to get my parents to drive me up there to try it.
You saved me a trip!

Congrats, Tony! Enjoy it!

The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!

Thanks to all! To say the least, I'm very pleased with this bass.
It's original down to the last screw. There are not many '60s basses that can claim that, let alone a '62.
I owned a '50s version...a '57, & it was just too thick & chunky for my liking...the neck felt like they took Babe
Ruth's baseball bat & fitted it into a bass. I much prefer the skinny body w/longer horn...& slimmer neck.
Worth every penny...& more.

You're right about probably no way to get photos of that bass, but I did include it. It's "C" in the evolutionary illustration. I took the photo of "D" and retouched out the Toaster pickup. There is a possibility that the developmental twin pickup bass ("D") was the same instrument as the one played by the "Vagabond Trio," just with the Toaster added. That bass was sold at Heritage auction last February, probably to a well known early-Rick-bass collector/actor. At least Mike Gutierrez was able to get me decent photos of it.BAD RONBO, KiLLeR DWaRfS wrote:probably no way to get pics of it, but yer missing one bass in the evolutionary table...pg. 102 lower right pic in smiths' book.

Thanks Woody!
I'll post some pics in the next few days. I''ll need some time to shrink them.
