Sorry for the thread derail......I picked up a Markbass Minimark. Great volume, tone and clarity from such a little fella. For a gigging amp I'll stick with tube behemoths but not much need for that to serenade my miniature pinschers. Jeff had his at my place for "Mini Rio" and I found a good deal on a used one so I jumped on it.

I'm sure it would sound great with a Trans Green Cii!

After hearing Jeff's, I've got one on my short list of "wants".

Brian, those are so cool! i had a micromark for about a year,(which is like half of the minimark),and was amazed at the sound and volume coming out of such a tiny cube. i even used it for band practice amazingly enough. i sold it when i got my mark bass cmd121p,yet another technical marvel.

I'm casually on the hunt for a deal on the 4x6 extension cabinet......I'll bet I can make that work, with PA support, for just about anything I'd need.

The TG 4004 seems to be a rare bass! :o

Eden.
Eden, I zoomed in 600% on the headstock and I see a line down the middle of the maple. So I would say this one had the two piece neck.

AND you'd be able to carry it without a back brace and wearing a truss.

I'm thinking of your last live rig....

Brian, you like those Mark bass amps? I played through a Mark bass head and a SWR cab one night at a friends gig and it was pretty good and incredibly loud but when I tried the combos at GC I felt like it was missing something. almost sounded like digital reproduction to me like Line 6 stuff. better quality but still felt like it was missing soul.

I am ordering a new Fender Rumble 350 soon. was going to get a bassman 100 when I got my 4003 11 years ago but got such a great deal on an Ampeg B100R I couldnt resist. I love the B100R but have missed the Fender sound.

I love the Markbass heads. I have a Little Mark II Tube head, but I don't care for the sound of most Markbass cabs.

I'm not a huge fan of, what I consider, their stage rig level stuff. If I was in a band I'd still have my Mesa Boogie 400+ tube head and Mesa Powerhouse 1200 cabinet (4x10+1x15+ horn)......just sonic bliss for my metalhead needs. My current requirements are different since I'm just annoying my wife and dogs with my playing in the livingroom and for that the Minimark has made me a HUGE fan of, at least, that particular model.

It seems to me that their small cabs with small drivers sound better. One day I'd like to try the New York 804 4x8" cab. Jeff Scott said they sound good. I know he knows good bass tone. The only place I've seen one is at the NAMM show. GC never has them in stock to try out.

Yes sir, the 804 sounded very nice, two of them stacked, actually (I don't recall what amp I used but it was a Markbass one  ), this was at the Markbass booth at the 2010 NAMM Show.

The Minimark is a very well conceived combo amp, the whole package sounds great with minimal to no EQ depending on the room and bass used.

lol about annoying the wife and dog. my wife puts up with it but apparently the dog is a critic and leaves the room when she sees me go for the bass

Thread back on track:
4004Cii TG 08
4004Cii TG 08
One piece neck, just like the good old days . . .

TG is still an option for the Cii, according to the RIC website.
