I think a 4004 would be in order,too.. My 3 RIC basses are pretty varied. I have a set neck 4000,a 4004 cii with the "lowered" pickup positions,and a totally customised 4004 Laredo,with "4002" positioned pickups wired for coil tapping. The 4000 has steel rw DR fatbeams,the cii has maxima nickle flatwounds,and the laredo has hybrid circle k rw strings,resulting in quite a lot of different sounds.
