Has Chris & Scotty seen it, yet?
Oh, yea, three years ago... Chris played it for a few minutes before departing Jamestown in 2009. He said some very nice things about it, particularly liked the wavy Grovers and the color.
Edit: Wait, did you mean the new one, the FG? Only Xi was here at the house, we baby sat her Mon & Tues. Didn't take the bass to the show since the small theatre had no real backstage area to keep anything safe.

Thanks Jim for Xi's pic's. I needed to be reminded of little miracles with all the recent negative stuff that's been going on. Can hardly wait until the 4th (the band is in DC) - I usually feel really positive after the performance!!

Tom, you bring up a great point. After seeing Yes I always feel that amazing, lingering positive boost. Sounds corny I know but it is because the band really does work on so many levels. Great experiences do that.
For me, the feelings that linger after other seeing other great musical performances are often strong...feelings like excitement, motivation, or being impressed by technique come to mind. But nothing quite compares to a Yes concert. The moments and days afterwards are filled with wonder and positive feelings. Methinks that all of the boys put out that positive energy but Chris seems to be the center. Again, it really sounds froo-froo new-agey but it is true. A Yes show makes you ecstatic to be alive.
And yes, kids feel that way all the time so they are great to be around. The Squires are lucky.

For what its worth, and this is important to some but not others, but there seemed to be much better onstage chemistry between the band members at this show. I don't need to see them all lined up rocking out like the Outlaws used to do (although that was cool) but when I see them interact onstage, it gives me an indication as to how things are progressing within the band. I felt a lot of positive energy at this show, that feeling had been building since 2008, but now they really seem to be enjoying themselves. Steve hugged Jon Davison after one track.

Chris was all over the stage, as usual and Jon looked like he'd been there for years. I couldn't see much of Geoff or Alan, as I was seated far house left, right in front of Steve

but they seemed to be grooving as well. Geoff made one appearance with the keytar

not my favorite, but most fans seemed to like it.
I'm still buzzing from this show, having musical flashbacks as my mind replays the event. To all the Yes Fans who are still upset over the departure of past members, stay home if you like. It's your right. And your loss! Just my 2 cents.

Very good to hear! I always look to Steve to see how he is with things. When Steve is happy the band is usually happy.
Again, I can't wait to see them!

I also said to a few folks afterwards that the show was very positive and uplifting, and very entertaining. AND, I have never seen YES before nor have I been a fan! Ha! So, something must be happening right with these shows and with the music of YES. I'd go see them again for sure. It was quite an experience. YES = Positive!

Glad to hear, as they will be near me in just one week.....I guess I better get tickets. Hate to hear only 2000 folks showed up though.
I really regret not driving up to Richmond a couple of years ago when they came through with Asia, but I was more than a little disappointed they were booked in to a tiny little place that is not more than a small city park at best.

Naw, it was an approx. 2000 seat old theater and looked like a sell-out.

Looks like great Godparent time! She is growing up fast. And Chris will have to stay in shape through the years of her growing up to be able to scare the guys she attracts.
Cute.

Enjoy the show, Tom. We were thinking about driving over to that one but a big family event came up - My other Goddaughter's twins 1st birthday. Can't miss that one!
John, she is growing fast and so smart. This is one little lady that will have no problem handling herself down the line. I feel sorry for all the future broken hearts!

well the show last was the best I have seen Yes in a while! A couple little technical glitches (ear pieces not working type things) but the lads pulled it off! An ambitious play list was done very well. Procol Harum sounded good and the audience seemed to really like them! Jon D seemed to fit in well with the band... a nice sound! But I didn't realize it was bring your daughter to work night...
(sorry not a very good shot - but you get the idea)
waving and blowing kisses to dad on stage! And he returned them.
Yep feelin good from the show!!!
