Thank YOU,Eden, for posting those. Yeah i just remembered i bought that Aussie hat at a yard sale in Brookings a few monthes ago,and thought it would be apropos for the videos. (Turned out the bloke doing the selling was an Australian ex-pat living in the far-flung corner of the world that is Brookings.) I really like the pedal, and will definitely consider getting one. I think it sounds really good here with all the different basses.(i did try it with the 4000,but was not too satisfied with the sound being a bit thin, but did not pursue tweaking the tone controls to remedy that). I just used the pedal plugged directly into the markbass with all controls flat, instead of using the VT as a preamp like i normally would. I especially liked what it did for the hollowbody mojo of the Rimini.(which i am happy to report is quite a nice bit of work in all respects.)

Perhaps for the 4000 a grunt pedal with a tone control might be the trick! It used to be standard on the mark one B Drive but most folks never used the tone do it was left off later models.
The crew at Cave will make one with a tone if you ask...,

I normally would preamp my basses with the Tech 21 VT pedal, and for the 4000,i usually pump up the bass control a bit more, which works really nicely. For the purpose of the demos,i just wanted to keep it simple and quick, while still showing a bit of variety with the instruments, and also not have any influence on the tone other than the B-drive pedal.

I have an Aussie hat too that Trotty (who I miss around here) gave me. I should have done a demo vid also. We could have been the Aussie Hat Cave Pedal Demo Brothers! Woody, send the pedal back to me!
