For myself I know I do not want/need a pickup in jazz bridge position. And I like Lemmy's sound from the old days a lot better than his current (4004LK) sound. On the other hand I practically learned bass playing from copying his style (including Hawkwind). And I prefer Rickenbacker basses above others almost to a religious level.
