I originally picked this one up many years ago from eBay.

A guy from Orlando had it, and I drove to pick it up. He told me he had got it from a Canadian luthier, who had had it for many years, and told him it was originally a '67. That was confirmed to my eyes, by the lighter FG in the truss rod area. Over the next 5/6 years I gradually found the exact year parts that were missing, until finally this year I thought I'd better do something with it.

I've been slowly downsizing the collection over the last few years, and thought it would be nice for someone else to have an RM, and knew Kev had always really wanted one...

Have to say, I think Larry has excelled himself here!. It looks really impressive, very period correct, and the matching grain makes this one of the best basses from the 60's I have seen. Great job Larry, and welcome to the club Kev!

And the fretboard wood is how they should be. Great.

Very nice, K-Teed. Here's a question: how does it feel to finally get your dream Ric?
