The only repair the factory logs show is dated 5/12/1958 and says "Stabilized bridge and damaged spot touched up".glen_l wrote:V109 is beautiful just as it is. The only thing non original is a 3/16" combo type nut that was mostly likely an early factory repair.

A: GT: Potentially some folks might modify a guitar like this but I don't think it too likely. The really really cool thing about it though is just how much the little guitar itself has that unmistakable tone from the Beatles recordings, even unplugged!

The Beatles are, arguably, the worst thing that ever happened to the electric guitar. For all the popularity they created for the instrument, they seem to have created rabid fan-boys with no sense or self & individuality, or any respect for the instrument.

Second, The Beatles are innovators, and easily the best thing to happen to the guitar and bass (also James Jamerson).
If it wasn't for The Beatles, Rickenbacker wouldn't even be in existense today. Half of their modern models wouldn't be around either.
I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I'm just saying that The Beatles were and are way more popular than Rickenbacker was/will ever be.
