Hadn't heard that. Tom Petty had a 1993 replica made from the factory earlier this year though.

Factory pictures of the Petty 1993 replica below.
Interesting that they scrawled 1993/12 in this Tom Petty one-off cavity...that implies that a 6 string version could/should be factory labelled 1993/6 (e.g. the limited run for Sam Ash made back in '87 - also pictured below).

I sure wish Ric would introduce the 1993/12 to the vintage line. Maybe since the backlog situation seems to be under control they can expand it somewhat.
Also, has anyone heard if they're going to offer a bass in the vintage line soon? Maybe call it a 4001S64 or something?

♪♫♪♫I need new strings, these ones have a bunch of dang wrong notes on 'em ♫♪♫♪
Guy i think the rough estimate was about 8 Rickenbackers that were smashed. Im not to sure about the others
I broke about 8. This was in the days these guitars cost around £250 apiece. … I was perversely proud of the fact that I was smashing up the most expensive guitar in London shops during the early ’60s when I still didn’t own a car or an apartment.
I spoke with Alan Rogan the other week and asked if Pete knew the serial numbers of the ones he used to own in the sixties. It'll be no surprise to any of us that the answer was no!
