I would be very interested in attending. I'm in the market for a Rickenbacker. Do people do any buying and selling at these shindigs?

Josh --- we welcome you to attend. :) There will be enthusiasts and collectors on hand and deals have been struck before at Confluences. (Although buying and selling is hardly the reason we like to get together).

A suggestion is, you might want to contact Doctorwho memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=445 by PM beforehand, as he will be attending the Oct 5th event and he is currently selling a couple of Rickenbacker guitars and basses to thin out the herd. So you may want to find out what models he might have available.

* * * * * * October 5th Event U P D A T E * * * * * *

For our Ricken-Jam Confluence event on October 5th, we welcome back our Lefty pal, Steve T. (who has not been able to make one of our Ricken jams for awhile), so we've moved him over to the attending list, and also our new So Calif participant, Josh G.

Meantime, have learned that Bobbo and Tracy can't make it, cause they have a gig, and likewise the Snowman also has a prior gig going that day. Edit ---- just learned that the Snowman is attending the RickenJam !! :D :D

Everyone remember:
Bring Sufficient Guitar and Bass Stands for all your instruments !

Can the usual 4 or 5 guys who bring guitar amps -- if we could again ask you to please do so, and we should then have sufficient amps for the Jam.

If the majority of the attendees wish, we will also book a second room for people who want to give their ears a break, socialize, try out anything that might be offered for sale, displays, etc.

I hope to be in there with you for a good amount of time. For a change, we might have several bassists instead of me playing most of time and demolishing the songs I'm not prepared for!

A song spreadsheet is available. If you'd like to add your name to it, great if you don't want to that's fine, but up to you. It edits much like Excel, if you'd like to add songs.

I can go hide before I'm asked to sing "Hotel California" or something ridiculously difficult; what Beatles song was I asked to lead vox on, like within two minutes of walking into the jam last time? . . . "Sing . WHAT?!!. . . No way, pick something easier; 3-4 chords please. . . "
