Well, if we're gonna do a fretless 4003W then lets really go all out, eh? The "fingerboard "will be a full sheet of the inlay material that is hard coated with epoxy or whatever finish that will produce a nice smooth, glossy, roundwound impervious surface to play on. Of course, side dots only, in the correct, at fret locations 3,5,7,9, 12,15,17,19,21 (slightly longer fingerboard, not much, probably just 1/4" should do.
Then, how about a bridge pickup mounting plate that allows hot swappable pickups that just plug into the plate and audio line, and the bass is supplied with hi-gain, toaster and HB-1 pickups that are configured to do so? Oh yeah, the neck pickup can slide between the 1/2" and 1" locations. Let's see, what else would we want?

I noticed that the W series instruments attracted a lot of positive attention at NAMM.

C, S, N & Y ..? Nah, just C, S, D & L - aka Cheyenne, Sierra, Dakota & Laguna!
The W Series looks every bit as impressive as my legacy walnut/maple Rickenbackers - a truly wonderful finish. If this does not persuade you to place an order, nothing will!

I'm ready to put a deposit down on a lefty 360/12 W… anybody else here with me?
How many requests/orders does Rickenbacker need to make this happen for real?

LOL how cute... he knows not what he asks. You will have greater success holding your breath while they move the Rocky Mountains a little to the left.
(that is, to answer your question, way more than people would actually buy)
Seriously though, welcome!

Actually, we've already taken a few orders for lefty W Series instruments and will produce them just as we do for most of the rest of the line- when we have enough orders within a model family to be able to do so.

Really? Every dealer I spoke to in the past few days said you will not be making these and will not take an order for one. Can you point me to a dealer that will take me seriously?
I'm happy to pay the deposit and wait as long as it takes. Such is the life of the Lefty.
THNAKS!

Tell them to actually call our customer service department and they'll be straightened out quickly. The only thing we won't do is give them a hard delivery date as lefties are only made as orders are accumulated for efficient production.
We don't require or accept deposits- so that's between you and your dealer.

Wow, rad! thanks John. So an order for a 360/12W should be taken seriously. Best news I heard all day.

for the record, to date only the 4003W and 360W have been ordered in left handed but a 360/12W would probably be made at the same time as a 360W.

That's great! Glad to see lefties are not completely left out in the cold anymore. (no pun intended)

While you're at it, buy three. One for me!
