Wow! I thought I was content with my CW and C63 12-stringers. This one might get me to change my mind.

Great! We're 1/5 the way there:
Step 1: 1 3/4 inch nut - done.
Step 2: Cat's eye sound hole
Step 3: Checkerboard
Step 4: Toasterbuckers
Step 5: My wiring mods

Wow it almost makes me want to take up skinny stringed stringed instruments. I suppose 12 is a multiple of four. ;)

Honestly, I don't think it will affect values of six-string Rose Morris reissues one bit. If anything, it will increase demand (people wanting a six-string to pair with the 1993Plus). After all, reissues of a vintage model typically push the value of the originals up, not down. I'll bet it's the same for earlier reissues.

And the V64 six string? Apples and Oranges - there hasn't been a full production model the same as that, so there is still a healthy market for people that want a double bound six-string.

I only wish I could get one of these 1993Plus models with only two pickups (for one big, obvious reason!):

I love having the third pickup there - I just wish the wiring scheme would allow for all of the Strat 5-way positions.

Oh, I'm a bona fide fan of three-pickup Ricks.....but I just really want a replica of Pete's 360S above. :D

660/12 neck black, probably. 8)
As Jason wrote it is a two piece neck, and as the text on the product page states: as specified by Pete (thanks John for pointing that out :D ). Not sure if that means it can not be a 660 neck as i have no clue how many pieces a 660 neck is.

I'd prefer a two pickup arrangement, but for a 12 it's not a dealbreaker. When wait times become known I'll probably order one. The first new Rick guitar I've ordered since the RM370 I used to have!

Neither do I, as far as current spec goes; the 660/12 I had was a single piece. I am primarily going by FWI, 1 3/4" nut, 21 frets, vintage style headstock slots, that sort of stuff that is the same as a 660 neck in features and look. Certainly would make it easier on RIC as all that info is programmed into the CNC machine, already, presumably.

Regardless, this is a killer guitar! :D

I love the description of the new model on the pricelist, "Like a 330 but with..." and goes on to list 5 differences, not even mentioning the f-hole! I think they could get closer with a 660. "Like a 660 but with bound, semi-hollow body, white pickguard, 6 saddle bridge and an additional vintage pickup". Or even better, "Like a 360/12C63 but with wider neck, f-hole, and a third vintage pickup" My favorite, "An outstanding new model with modern and vintage features, and we finally put the wider neck on another 12-string!" (I'll bet they went with the 6 saddle bridge because their setup guys threatened to quite if they used the 12 saddle on another model, too.)
Now:
'96 325V63
'98 660/12 FG
'15 1993+

Then:
'66 330 FG; '75 430; '76 3000 JG; '91 325V59 MG; '92 325V63; '96 330 JG; '96 360/12 MG; '00 360/6 CW; '00 360/12 CW; '02 650D; '03 380L

It would be awfully hard for me to resist this one. I've often wished for my 660/12 neck on my 360/12v64 AND had been thinking seriously about a c63. (Now that I have some X-braced 6-strings, I find myself really wanting an x-braced 12-string.) Throw in an f-hole and a middle pickup, and my savings account is pretty much screwed. :D

I like the middle pickups, but have put push/pull pots in my 350s and 340s. 7-way switching. It's not difficult, but I took some photos when I did the last 'conversion' with the intent of annotating and posting them - just haven't gotten around to it. Guess I should try to do that - something tells me a bunch of 3-pickup models will be hitting the streets soon....

My wiring mods diagram solves both of these issues, and keeps the stock appearance and function of the knobs.

I very much feel the same way about this one, but with the simultaneous announcement of the 4003S, I'm gonna probably have to go with that one....
