Sorry for the delay on the venue, folks. It's a bit of a chicken and egg dance. Guitar Showcase has to get it past their event committee. I hope to hear from them soon on available dates and the rate. If they say yes and aren't too high, we would be doing a Sunday event (7/19 or 7/26). We would have to be loading out by 6pm when the main store closes and the staff heads out.

The other place (local recording studio) has a good rate and a good room (also with drums and PA), but parking would be an issue. We can pull beside the building to load in/out, but have to find street parking. That might involve a block or two walk depending on luck and timing. Saturdays are possible here (still working on the available dates).

Preferences? Is Sunday an issue that would keep folks from being able to make it?

Sorry for being late to this party. I'm not checking into this forum as often recently (my '74's specs haven't changed in, well, years). Also more sorry that I can't make the actual party. I'm out of town for a good part of July, so count me out. Too bad. I thought we could extend the BARC foray into metal and play Sabbath Vol 4 front to back.

We've also engaged in KISS, AC/DC, and assorted punk insurgency sets at SoCal jams. Bwahahaha.

Guitar Showcase is still not committing to a yes. I think they want to do it, but for some reason the owner is being a bit slow on the details. I talked to them again today and got the "we'll have an answer on Monday" result. If we can't get a committment then, I think we have to look at District Recorders as the place. I'll let you know what I find out on Monday. Sorry for the delay, folks...

OK, I can't make it to this one, but I'll put in a request for another BARC next Summer. Plans are to head back to the USA for a visit Summer of 2016...

Planning way ahead is good for me, too. I would like to meet you folks up there (out there, too!).

I have good news. BARC 2015 is a go at Guitar Showcase! I will give them the date by tomorrow, so let's hear it. Do we want 7/19 or 7/26 (both are Sunday's)?
