Your's is not a Mapleglo. The dot has been "painted" over.

Paint is translucent and you can see through it there. Even an inspection with flashlight reveals no dot.
Maybe it washed out in the paint. I wonder what they are for. Maybe just a "done" indicator for the next fella down the assembly line?

No one really has a clue about "the dot." Just fooling around; fun. Unless Mr. Hall chimes in, we'll probably never know. And if Mr. Hall did tell us something that could be even remotely understood, or worse, misunderstood about the dot during manufacture, there could a landslide of "worried" Rick owners bugging RIC HQ.
