The true Rickenbacker fan and loyalists are getting old and Beatles, Byrds, and Tom Petty fans are dying out. There will be a time coming, if you have no foresite that you will long for a "backlog"!!
Paul, RIC has shown remarkable adaptability from their beginning and I suspect that it will see them through when fans of the Beatles, Byrds and Tom Petty have passed on. History has always shown us that new stars emerge and whatever they happen to be playing becomes golden. Starting with a solid build and built in the continental US has served RIC well. As consumers of Rickenbacker instruments we naturally want more and more. I am encouraged by more recent changes that make some of our dreams come true. Your comments are appreciated, although perhaps some frustration shines through. I hope you get what you want on your wish list.

Always been a Ric fan, and there is no guitar maker out there with a more quality and beautiful product than Rickenbacker.
Just sharing some food for thought, instead of just kissing the kings ring when he speaks!

Paul: I hear you. There is nothing wrong with food for thought.
