Looks like you may have to make a few changes; this may actually be the place we're going to, instead.

We'll leave a seat empty for you. :D

Recording some made-up stuff (when grownups do it, it’s called “writing”) in between two drum gigs.
I’ve fallen in love with using one of my 330’s in the “studio” (aka my basement using Reaper) running through two of my Eventide H9’s simultaneously through a ‘77 Deluxe Reverb mic’ed with a BLUE Baby Bottle. One H9 has the preset called, “Leo To Lester” and another using the preset “Lester To Leo” and no, they don’t cancel each other out even though I initially figured they might. Using my 4003 w/ Rotosounds on a couple of them, also, but mostly my P-Bass with flats. Lawd, how I love this stuff!!!!

Well, you'll have a chair to put your stuff on. That 1st menu was actually making me drool! Have a great evening out!

I LUV my 6- and 12-string 350’s.
I’d love to hear more about yours, finish, etc.

Baseball baseball baseball. My local team (Strasburg Express) are doing great again this year so it's been an exciting few weeks as the season starts to draw to a close (Valley Baseball League is June-July).

Had 3 gigs in as many weeks so probably not much music for me this weekend. Take a break. I do have a keyboard audition with a really good established band so we'll see how that goes. I'm worried they'll want a bigger commitment than I'm prepared to offer... so... we'll just have to see how it goes. I don't have the time or interest in being a "member of the band" and doing the whole weekly rehearsal, writing songs, social time, etc. I just want to be a hired gun for the big ($) gigs.

Preparing for next week. I've just started noticing Erich Fromm, and this quote stood out to me:

“Modern man thinks he loses something—time—when he does not do things quickly. Yet he does not know what to do with the time he gains—except kill it.”

Now, off to the woodshed!

Sérgio: Also figured out how to put the accent mark over the é in your name!

The only thing I'll be playing this weekend is one of these.

No time for my Rick this Friday.

I'm putting together a secondary effects chain entirely dedicated to Hendrix stuff. Tuner, wah, octafuzz and univibe. Some of the extra equipment I ordered will arive this afternoon and I can't wait to put this together and plug in a strat.

Boomer Remount. This weekend a replay of the boomer rock and roll show from Mid-June but with a few different musicians including a saxophone player that knows the style! Honking, soulful bliss. They don't train kidz to do this in jazz programs. Duck walking down a bar should be part of the curriculum! More positive responses to the Rickenbacker bass.
A few Friday's I didn't report on: Symphony thing in the park, a Doris Day tribute (those '40s big band bass players sculpted some achingly transparent lines), summer jazz combo gigs on the square, yet some more blues. Life is good!
