Can anyone else see a difference in the screws or is it just me?
Don't forget all these pickups were hand wound so of course they'll be different. My '64 toaster is 7.4k & my "rebuilt" horseshoe is now 7.1k. The '65 1997 I have are 7.1K & 7.5k. An 8st horseshoe coil 7.4k.

Gerry,

They do appear to be slotted roundheads.
Jeff's '68 appears to have a shallower roundhead than my '64, but that can just be the angles as well.

Steve, on both Andy's and your pickups everything is the same except for maybe the head size of the four screws? Your nos seems to have larger ones. Hard to tell from photos...

Gerry, I think the heads are the same size. Probably just the angle and that Steve,s are recessed in the bobbin and mine are sticking up slightly making them look smaller...All this talk about roundheads sounds a little like my old English history...

By Cromwell you're right Sir Andrew.
It 'twas the Brits that brought the Rick to the forefront for many of us.

Cheers!
