Jared,
Did you bid on that Sound City 120 on Ebay about 1-2 months ago? I was looking at that too, and it got away from me in the last hour or so. Lost track of it.

OK so I was paranoid, the bass on on the FEDEX truck for delivery today. I guess it was the lack of communication with the seller and low feedback that had me worried. So hopefully I'll have something cool waiting this evening at the house.

You'll love it, Kendall. I was just playing with mine this morning, and am just blown away by the great sounds that come out of it.... and I'm not really a bass player! The kids were watching the Rush Chronicles DVD before school this morning and I got inspired.... though my playing Geddy Lee is waaaaaay simplified, LOL! It was fun to just figure out a few basic bass lines..... I could really get to like playing bass a lot, now that I have a v63 at home again! I don't think a bass could get any better.... Enjoy! Steve-

This happened last year. won the auction, paid via paypal. They claimed that the buyer had "taken" the funds out, the buyer said his account was frozen. I got a partial refund but said the investigation is ongoing. Every 60 days I write to them and get the same "because of an on going investigation Paypal cannot comment on the status of the claim..."

I was told if I withheld the funds via my credit card, Paypal would go after me.

Maybe that's not so bad.

OK so it's here. I hate to be picky but when the auction reads "excellent condition" I take that to mean no deep scratches or damage to the finish. What have here are a couple of deep scratches on the back, and light ones all over, it never has been set up, and action is WAAY high.
Hopefully the neck will adjust out...

There always has to be a reason other than stupidity a bass goes up so cheap. He probably took it to stores and put it up for a couple more than they offered him.

As a friend alsways says to me"the only free cheese is in a mouse trap".

There are exceptions.

To me, as long as the neck can be adjusted, it was still way worth it.

It's fixed, but right out of the bag it looked like ****. As I mentioned in another thread, it had never been set up and just needed a good cleaning and going over, it's a mean bass.

It really is. As a stock item it needs nothing.
