If you are saving for the Lightshow, I can give you up to ten dollars. Honest. I know I´ll never get one of those, so I don´t mind helping you in your proyect. By the way: congrats for your 331st post!
Regarding the Casino, yes, it seems that Mc.Cartney loved that guitar, and I have seen photos of Harrison with that guitar, too. So I think that Peter (Mc.Cormack) isn´t far from the truth. Just my opinion.

I've had a good listen over the last couple of days and I'm pretty certain that the solo is a Strat. As to the actual riff, unless somebody has a photo from the actual recording session I reckon that we'll always be guessing as to what guitars were used.

hello,
I just got the new Mojo mag "The Beatles classic, rare and unseen" and there is a very nice b&w picture on pp 78/79 dated from Dec 1964
(I think it must be 1965) Paul (with Hofner bass), George (with Gibson ES-345) and John (with a Fender- just a piece of neck and the headstock seen from behind)(Photo by Bob Whittacker, London, Reheasals for the second Beatles Christmas Show).
Very Day Tripper...

by the way same mag pp 84/85 a picture from Nov 4, 1964
by Bob Whittacker Abbey Road Studio: George on 360/12, John with dotted shirt and tamburine, Paul on Hofner, Ringo on drums. And two 325 seen, probably the Miami and the 12-string.
