For Blinded by the Light - the actual printed lyrics I have in a song book is "wrapped up like a duece" - not that that makes any more sense to me than douche

I've also seen it written as "revved up like a deuce."
I always interpreted that lyric as referring to a '32 Ford hot rod (they were/are called "deuce coupes from the "2" in the 1932 ("you're a little deuce coupe..."))revving it's engine and then racing into the night.

Alan - that makes much more sense. I guess it was the "wrapping" part that threw me. Although I have heard of wrapping your engine out i.e revving it up to high rpm's

I have always wondered about that one also. Revved up like a deuce makes the most sense to me, and he likes fast cars. 396 Chevy etc.

Springsteen actually wrote, "Cut loose like a deuce."
I always heard, "Wrecked up like a douche" but that can't be right, can it?
Racked up like O'doul's?
While we're at it:
"I get high, I get high, I get hiiiiiiiiiiiiigh..."
And I've actually seen this published in song books, from A Hard Day's Night:
"So why I love to come home, 'cause when I get you alone..."

Ok, another Beatles one.
Sie Liebt Dich. We know what that sounds like.
Also Kiss. "Shock me"? I could swear it was "Stop Me". Me and my dad wrote this parody from that. I can't remember all of it though.
"A mic is all I need
The audience says "Oh no"
The crowd feels great unease
I don't put on much of a show
Please cut the power on me
My singing blows
It'll make you die
Chorus:
Stop me (Make me sing better)
Stop me () [Forgot that part, hehe]
Stop me (They all scream together)
And roadies if you do what you've been told
The crowd won't be gone
The amplifiers won't explode
Please pull the plug on me
Yeah, yeah, pull it out
I make you cry
Chorus
Solo
Stop me (Help me)
Stop me (Hell yeah)
Stop me (Shoot me)
Stop me (Hell yeah)
Chorus
I'm melting the wires!
With singing I can't be bothered"
We also did Dio: "Rainbow In Every Song" and
ELP: "Hungry Man"
